Classic Tuscaloosa Wedding

tuscaloosa-wedding-photographer_0040.jpgA classic Tuscaloosa wedding for a classic Tuscaloosa couple! Every detail of their day was so thought out. Getting to walk alongside these two throughout their engagement season was so fun. Laura Lee actually owns her own event planning company, so I knew this was going to be a beautiful wedding. She had a vision for their wedding day that it would be fun, classic and relaxed. Every meeting was filled with joy and anticipation as the days before their wedding lessened.

Like many other couples, Jake and Laura Lee were faced with the tough decision to have to either postpone their wedding or continue with a smaller ceremony due to COVID-19. After many conversations, a few tears, and prayer, they decided to continue with a small ceremony and reschedule for a reception later this year. As difficult as that was for them I’m so happy that they decided to continue on. I’ll never forget helping Laura walk out to do her first look with her dad. She looked at me and said, “I’ll remember this day forever.” There was something about having a smaller, more intimate, and slower day that allowed for them to hang on to the precious moments that occurred. Laura was able to spend the majority of the day hanging out with her parents and relaxing before getting ready for the ceremony.

The other perk to having a two part wedding meant that Jake and Laura Lee could opt to not do a first look and save it for the ceremony. There weren’t hundreds of guests waiting for them to make their entrance after the ceremony. They got to see each other for the first time coming down the aisle.

Hundreds of people tuned into Facebook Live to witness these two say “I do”.  After the ceremony, Jake and Laura Lee waved to their guests as they drove by to congratulate them. It was so fun and so memorable.

I am so excited for part two of their wedding in August. It’ll be so fun to meet their wedding party and all their guests!

Thank you guys so much for allowing me to be apart of your beautiful day. It has been an honor to know you both. Can’t wait for the party in August!! tuscaloosa-wedding-photographer_0041.jpg
