Mollie and Cameron’s wedding day at The Oaks in Centreville, Alabama was a true rollercoaster of emotions – in the best possible way. The weather forecast had us all on edge with predicted storms, but somehow, the sun decided to show up right on cue. It was like a sign that their day was going to be nothing short of magical. As a Tuscaloosa wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing their special day amidst the stunning backdrop of The Oaks, one of my favorite venues.
In the cozy bridal suite, Mollie and her bridesmaids began getting ready for the day. I love this beginning part of the day. Everyone is just so happy to be there and anxiously ready for the day to begin. I love photographing the details: the invitations, rings, jewelry, shoes, etc. Mollie gave me the prettiest details to work with that morning.
As hair and makeup comes to and end, it’s time to get in the dress! I love the photos we were able to capture in The Oaks bridal suite. Her and her mom looked so beautiful. Just down the stairs, my second shooter was able to photograph Cameron finishing getting ready and prepping to see his bride for the first time.
Mollie shared a first look with her dad, and boy was it sweet! Tears were shed. I had her bridesmaids help set her up for her first look with Cameron. It was a special moment for the two of them to share. Our portrait time together was absolutely perfect! The rain kept pushing back, so we got sunshine the entire time!
All of their guests hurried into the chapel just in time to beat the rain. I love the photo of Mollie and Cameron sharing an umbrella together after the ceremony. The rain broke and a stunning rainbow appeared! We had to get a photo of the two of them with the rainbow in the background. The party started and everyone was on the dance floor immediately. With such a fun playlist, hardly anyone stopped to take a break!
