Wedding days are always special. There are always little moments here and there or details that are more sentimental than others. Makenzie and Kaleb had all of those plus some. Not only were there precious little moments filled with happy tears and joyous laughter, the wedding day itself encompassed who Makenzie and Kaleb are as people. They got married at Makenzie’s childhood home and the wedding was officiated by Kaleb’s dad. Could it get any more sentimental?
It was a chilly February day, but the sun was shining so that kept us warm and happy knowing the weather wouldn’t be a concern. Especially since the ceremony and reception were held outside. Makenzie and her bridesmaids enjoyed a slow morning together as they got their hair and makeup done. The mood was set for a wedding day! After the last bit of hairspray was dispersed, Makenzie stepped into her stunning Heidi Elnora gown. Her mom held back tears as she button the last button. She was stunning!
What happened next is always a favorite of mine, a father daughter first look. It was a special moment that Makenzie and her dad got to have together. Cue those happy tears I mentioned earlier. After all of the wedding party photos and family formals it was time for the ceremony. Like I said, Kaleb’s dad officiated the ceremony and he did a wonderful job. There was laughter and there was joy for this happy couple! And finally, they were husband and wife.
The night continued with good food, great music and a whole lot of fun! Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the newlyweds headed off to start their life together! It was truly like a fairytale wedding day!
Makenzie and Kaleb, thank you both so much for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your wedding day. It was an honor to witness the love you have for each other. I hope your wedding photos bring back all of the wonderful memories made on that big day!
