I have officially added brunch weddings to my list of favorite things in the wedding world. When Maddy and Patrick explained their vision to me and told me that they were having a brunch wedding, I was ecstatic. Cue thoughts of chicken and waffles, mimosas and a string quartet. Their wedding day, was exactly that!
Maddy and Patricks wedding day start early in the morning. I arrived in downtown Birmingham before the sun had even come up. With a large cup of coffee already in my system I started the day with Maddy’s bridal details. Her high-neck Heidi Elnora gown and Ted Baker pumps paired perfectly with her bridesmaids baby blue dresses. Touches of spring encompassed the whole day through the florals, dresses and color scheme.
Would you like to know the most lovely detail of all? Maddy’s joy! She was hands down the most joyous bride I have ever photographed. She laughed, she cried (while still seeming to laugh), she danced and she cheered throughout the whole day. It truly made me job such a breeze.
After getting ready and sharing some very special first look moments at The Tutwiler in downtown Birmingham, we headed over to Bridgesteet Gallery and Loft for their ceremony and brunch reception. Their ceremony was sweet and sentimental. After saying “I do”, we headed out for a few husband and wife photos in the streets of Birmingham! Their reception was filled with all of the things I dreamed a brunch wedding would have. It was perfect in every way.
Maddy and Patrick, thank you so much for allowing me the honor of photographing your wedding day! Everything about it was just perfect. I hope your photos stay near and dear to your heart and help you to relive this day for years to come!
