Alabama summer wedding days are some of my favorites to photograph. The grass is so green, all the flowers are blooming and the light is unmatched. Kelsey and Thomas had one of the sweetest and most beautiful wedding days this past June. It was a day full of so many wonderful memories for Thomas and Kelsey.
Photographing details throughout the day is one of my favorite things to do. Not just because of the beauty of them, but because of the significance the little details make on a wedding day. Usually the details consist of the invitation, rings, possibly a Bible, letters and things such as that. On Kelsey and Thomas’ wedding day there was a rather large detail that held so much significance. This detail was the actual location of the wedding. You see, this adorable little white home set as the backdrop of their wedding day was Kelsey’s great grandmother’s home. It is also where Kelsey and Thomas now live. If you want a little recap from their engagement session we had here, click here! It was the perfect spot for these two to say I do!!
Kelsey and Thomas got married around sunset in front of the beautiful landscape of their family property. They were surrounded by so many of their closest friends and family. Kelsey was a Crimsonette for The University of Alabama, so she had a few of her girls standing by her side.
These two made the most of the circumstance of COVID that were thrown their way. They had to make tough decisions to be able to have their wedding day. None of that stole the joy that they exuded all day long. Their wedding was a beautiful celebration and testament to their love for one another. I am so honored to have been apart of their day and cannot wait to see where life takes them.
